      Mr. Blackford's Overview:

      Isshin Bushi Jitsu has it all.  Stand Up, Ground Fighting, 
and Self- Defense, as well as the mental focus it cultivates.  
As for me, it is one of my personal resources in the 
development of my spiritual path.  There are always new 
techniques to learn, and learned ones to perfect, and with which
to be challenged.  I have been a student of Sensei Gary Bush
for 8 years.  I am constantly learning new material, and do not have 
to worry about being hurt by (or feeling like I have to hurt) others 
wanting to prove themselves.  I have found this school to be unique,
in that it is certainly not a fight club.  It is most accurately described
as a learning institute.  The majority of the students that are 
members here, are mostly here to learn practical self and family 
defense.  I also include myself foremost in this group.  However, at 
this point in my life, I am also choosing to pursue the competitive 
edge, through various competition styles, ie. Sport Ju-Jitsu, Full 
Contact, No Holds Barred, etc.  Ultimately, I would like to be 
recognized for my passion to teach others.  I am also available for
private instruction by appointment.
